Small restaurant
The table below shows the sales at a
small restaurant in a downtown American business district. The lunch and dinner
sales during the week peaked on Friday and then dipped down as the weekend set
in.
On Monday the
dinner sales were more than lunch sales; it was $3,623 for dinner but for
lunch it was $2,400. On Tuesday the dinner sales rose to $3,850 and the lunch
sales rose to $2,450. On Wednesday the dinner sales dropped to $3,450
but the lunch sales rose to $2,595. On Thursday there is a big
difference between lunch and dinner; lunch sales were $2,375 but the dinner
sales were $3,800. The highest sales for lunch occurred on Friday, and the
lowest occurred on Saturday. Saturday’s lunch sales were approximately $1,950
less than the average lunch sales during the rest of the week.
In conclusion,
the dinner sales were more than the lunch sales every time and the lowest sales
were on Saturday.
